EDSI, through its contract with Maximus, operates 6- and 12-week TASC Programs, as well as Contextualized Literacy (industry specific job readiness) workshops in Upper Manhattan/Bronx and Staten Island. These programs are tailored to the specific needs of participants in the community in order to prepare them for entering the workforce, with the ultimate goal being self-sufficiency.
Through the Back to Work Program, EDSI also conducts job development and pre-screening activities with the goal of placing participants in available job opportunities, with a focus on job retention of up to six months.
